Eagle Knight
About This Work
In this artwork I represent an Eagle Knight, an elite warrior of the Mexica Empire during pre-Hispanic times. At their feet some skulls appear because they were truly fearsome warriors according to history.
I do this type of work when I need or want to clear my head of the topics I am working on, to empty from ideas that, whether they have been captured or not, are already old and thus make room for new ones. I also take the opportunity to recover memories of my country's past, I believe that in some way all Mexicans are fascinated with our history although we do not have it as present as perhaps we should or would like.
